Robert joined the Mechanical Engineering Department in 2011. He is also a Graduate Faculty Member in Materials Science Engineering as well as Chemical Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley under the co-advisory of Arun Majumdar (ME, MSE) and Rachel Segalman (ChemE). Afterwards he worked with Delia Milliron as a Materials Science Postdoc at the Molecular Foundry in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His studies have focused on thermal, electrical, and ionic transport; phase change; thermoelectricity; molecular monolayers; chemical precursors; nanocrystals; and nanocomposites.
