Undergraduate degree programs

Why us?

The School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy, part of Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University is uniquely positioned to train the next generation of engineers. Our programs include aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering and biological design. This interdisciplinarity is a huge opportunity for undergraduate students and faculty to collaborate and create amazing things.

Aerospace engineering (aeronautics), BSE

The aerospace engineering curriculum provides students with an education in technological areas critical to the design and development of aerospace vehicles and systems.

Aerospace engineering (astronautics), BSE

The BSE program in aerospace engineering with a concentration in astronautics equips students with the skills necessary to create space-going vehicles.

Aerospace engineering (autonomous vehicle systems), BSE

The BSE program in aerospace engineering with a concentration in autonomous vehicle systems trains students to engineer autonomous aircraft.

Chemical engineering, BSE

Help prepare for the future needs of the world’s citizens with this real-world-driven program designed around matter and energy.

Materials science and engineering, BSE

Material science and engineering, or MSE, is all about innovating new chemical, biological and electronic materials and transforming them into innovations that change the world.

Mechanical engineering, BSE

Turn ideas into reality in this program that puts the student in the driver’s seat of creating practical tools and devices for machines to small components.

Mechanical engineering (computational mechanics), BSE

The BSE program in mechanical engineering with a concentration in computational mechanics teaches students the modern computational tools available for solving large-scale and complex technical problems.

Mechanical engineering (energy and environment), BSE

The BSE program in mechanical engineering with a concentration in energy and environment is designed to prepare students to solve technical problems in air pollution, climate change, energy, efficiency, environmental sustainability and renewable energy.
